Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Response
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed patrol incident response Security Guard to support a public transportation location in San Francisco, California. The role serves and safeguards clients in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, with a focus on maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns, and providing customer service and communication to riders, visitors, and staff. The position is full-time and pays $24.90 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The guard conducts patrols of transit facilities and related areas, monitors access points and activity, responds to incidents and service disruptions, reports security concerns, and prepares accurate documentation according to site procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and activity, assist with directing visitors, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and observed security-related conditions in accordance with company and site requirements.
