About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security guard to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, providing customer service and communication, responding to concerns, documenting observations, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and pays $24.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of security-related, military, or law enforcement experience, or an associate’s degree in criminal justice.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and access points, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization as required, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or potential security-related issues.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities.
