About The Position

The Security Guard searches for, responds to, and handles security problems, concerns, and emergencies in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulations to protect the hotel’s assets, guests, and Associates. The role patrols the hotel and its exterior areas, documents incidents, responds to emergencies, conducts investigations, and supports hotel operations while providing professional, respectful customer service.

Requirements

Current, valid CPR and First Aid certification; certification must be maintained and provided to HR annually.
Valid vehicle operator’s permit to drive the security vehicle.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to tolerate high noise conditions during in-facility tours and exposure to weather during outside tours.

Experience in security or loss prevention.

Responsibilities

Patrol all areas of the hotel property, including outside parking lots; identify, address, and report unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, property destruction, and suspicious or undesirable persons, escorting people off the property if necessary.
Document incidents of theft, accidents, and safety violations in a concise daily security log.
Complete security forms documenting property losses or personal injuries involving guests or employees.
Maintain familiarity with hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures, and regulations; respond promptly to alarms and calls for help, determine an appropriate course of action, notify authorities, and provide first aid and CPR as needed.
Investigate security incidents.
Enforce the hotel’s No Solicitation Policy.
Maintain security of the hotel key system and issue and receive keys.
Escort and witness cash handling as needed.
Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, remaining professional and composed under stress and treating guests respectfully.
Complete other duties as assigned.
