About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation location in Dalton, Georgia, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and responding to alarms and other security concerns. The role involves providing customer service and clear communication while using technology to document activities. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $13.52 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, access concerns, vehicle-related issues, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, trailer lots, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and driver authorization according to site procedures, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
