About The Position

Armorous is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a large corporate property. The officer will safeguard the property, deter criminal activity, and help ensure the safety of businesses, construction sites, residential communities, and other locations. The role involves regular patrols, preventing unauthorized access, keeping site areas secure, and responding to incidents. The site may involve occasional, typically non-confrontational interactions with unhoused individuals and occasional loose animals; officers are expected to act professionally, enforce site policies respectfully, and use sound judgment to maintain personal safety.

The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, for 32 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Compensation is $21.00 per hour. Requirements

• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Current BSIS compliance, including an 8-hour initial training certificate and 32-hour continuing education certificates.
• Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to safely operate company or site vehicles.
• Experience working graveyard shifts.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and promote public safety.
• Respond to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Accurately document daily activity, incidents, and observations in reports.
• Communicate security updates and concerns to supervisors and team members.
• Enforce site policies respectfully and use sound judgment to maintain personal safety.
