About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security guard for an assigned corporate technology site in Arlington, Virginia. The role provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. The fixed weekly anchor shift is Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform and can work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response processes.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, assist with visitor management, and direct guests.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Maintain activity logs, incident reports, and patrol records, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
