About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security guard for an assigned retail location in Jacksonville, Florida. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule of evening anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially increasing hours up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position pays $20.00 per hour.

The guard provides customer service to retail and mall visitors, tenants, and staff; follows security procedures and site-specific policies; conducts unarmed patrols; monitors activity and access points; responds to incidents; documents observations; and helps visitors with directions and lost-property inquiries. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience, be comfortable using a computer or tablet, be at least 18 for an unarmed role, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Hiring is subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail and mall visitors, tenants, and staff while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Assist visitors with directions, lost-property inquiries, and other needs while maintaining a professional presence.
