About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Flex Weekend Unarmed Guard for an assigned retail site in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to work more hours and at other sites. The schedule can vary with claimed shifts, and the position offers a path toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with weekly pay. The listed shift is Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site policies, conducting unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, and reporting and documenting activity. Employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities, and maintain a professional presence throughout the location.
