About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a manufacturing and industrial location in Houston, Texas. The part-time role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that shift. In addition to the anchor shift, employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back as needed. The position involves unarmed security patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; follow site procedures and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
