Security Guard Museum Foot Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prominent public cultural location in Los Angeles, California, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms or concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while using technology to document activity. The position serves visitors, staff, and contractors and helps protect exhibits, collections, and facility property. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
- Assist with access control and visitor directions, and help protect exhibits, collections, and facility property.
