About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Flex Security Guard for a museum site in San Jose, California. This role has no set schedule; the guard must be available any day of the week and for day, swing, or overnight shifts as scheduling needs vary. The work involves observing surroundings, anticipating risks, patrolling areas, and responding to security incidents. Guards may move around throughout the shift and must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have at least one year of security experience.
• Be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight shifts, as scheduling needs vary.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and an additional 32 hours of BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
