Security Guard Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in Rockport, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at an educational location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. The role requires clear communication, accurate documentation, and collaboration with Allied Universal teammates while demonstrating agility, reliability, innovation, caring, teamwork, and integrity. This is a full-time position scheduled for daytime shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The pay rate is $14.21 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

- Alarm panel experience.

- A state-, county-, or city-issued security license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and campus-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established campus protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
