About The Position

As a Security Guard Unarmed Mobile Patrol in De Soto, Kansas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role includes providing customer service, communicating professionally, and using technology to document observations. The position is full-time and pays $22.28 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and assigned areas; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
