About The Position

The Security Gatehouse Officer staffs the entrance to the Charlestown community and provides customer service and hospitality while fostering safety and security. The officer greets and assists visitors, screens vehicle and pedestrian traffic, provides parking passes and maps, and logs visitors and vendors or contractors. The role also involves notifying the security and emergency services supervisor about specified officials seeking entry, completing detailed incident reports, and maintaining strict confidentiality of protected health information and other sensitive information.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Prior experience as a Security Gatehouse Officer.
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge visitors, provide a pleasant greeting, and offer assistance to people entering the community.
• Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community.
• Provide parking passes and maps, and direct visitors to appropriate parking spaces.
• Document visitors, vendors, and contractors in the standard gatehouse log.
• Inform the security and emergency services supervisor when inspectors, government representatives, process servers, or law enforcement attempt to enter the community.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online report system.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding protected health information and other sensitive or confidential information concerning the company, employees, business information, or residents.
