About The Position

The Security Gatehouse Officer staffs the Gatehouse entrance at Charlestown, an Erickson Senior Living continuing care retirement community in Catonsville, Maryland. The role provides customer service and hospitality while supporting a safe and secure environment for the community. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with a stated range of $18.00 to $19.25.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Prior experience as a Security Gatehouse Officer is preferred.
A current and valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge visitors, greet them pleasantly, and offer assistance to people entering the community.
Screen vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community.
Provide parking passes and maps, and direct visitors to appropriate parking spaces.
Document visitors, vendors, and contractors using the standard Gatehouse log.
Notify the security and emergency services supervisor when inspectors, government representatives, process servers, or law enforcement personnel attempt to enter the community.
Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online reporting system.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding protected health information and other sensitive or confidential information related to the company, its employees, business, or residents.
