About The Position

United Protective Services is seeking a reliable, positive Security Flex Officer to work at a variety of client sites and cover call-offs, vacations, open shifts, and other schedule gaps. The position requires a flexible, changing schedule from week to week and may include first, second, or overnight shifts, as well as weekends. Flex Officers receive higher pay than most regular Officers.

The officer provides security services as outlined in post orders, builds working relationships with clients, local law enforcement, and fire departments, and maintains awareness of activity in the assigned area. The role requires a professional image, strong customer service, foot patrols, and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying elements. This is a temporary holiday seasonal position. Pay is $17–$19 per hour.

Requirements

• Reliable and positive, with an interest in serving others and growing in a security career.
• Flexible availability for changing schedules and coverage at a variety of client sites; overnight shifts may be required or preferred if possible.
• Ability to conduct foot patrols.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to open-shift coverage requests when dispatched by the management team.
• Engage in conflict resolution on-site.
• Assist clients with duties as assigned.
• Maintain daily activity logs in accordance with post orders.
• Create incident reports for unique incidents on-site.
• Observe and report suspicious activity in accordance with post orders.
• Maintain and account for United Protective Services equipment before, during, and after each shift.
• Provide security detail as outlined in post orders and maintain awareness of activity in the assigned area.
• Establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments.
• Maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Perform additional job duties as necessary.
