About The Position

United Protective Services is hiring a reliable, professional, and flexible Security Officer to provide coverage at multiple client properties throughout the Frisco Division. This part-time flex position offers 8–24 scheduled hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts when coverage is needed. Schedules may change weekly based on client and staffing needs, and occasional short-notice coverage may be requested. Officers should be willing to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts when available. The role involves helping maintain consistent security coverage at professional commercial properties, interacting with clients and visitors, and following site-specific procedures. The position offers training, support, and opportunities to gain experience at a variety of locations, with potential advancement into permanent full-time positions.

Requirements

Must have a valid Texas Level II Security License.
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
Must have reliable transportation to travel between assigned sites.
Must be comfortable working independently at different properties.
Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be comfortable using mobile applications for reporting and patrol documentation.
Must be able to pass a drug test.

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience is preferred.
Evening, overnight, and weekend availability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide security coverage at various client properties throughout the Frisco Division.
Respond to open shift opportunities and last-minute coverage requests from management.
Conduct routine foot patrols of buildings, parking garages, and surrounding property.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
Complete daily activity logs, patrol reports, and incident reports as required.
Follow site-specific post orders and security procedures.
Assist clients, tenants, visitors, and property management as needed.
Handle conflicts professionally and use appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Maintain communication with supervisors and management regarding site activity.
Maintain and account for company-issued equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
