About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Registration in Ennis, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, allowing the schedule to vary from week to week and potentially reach up to 40 hours. The stated pay rate is $16.53 per hour.

The position provides customer service and supports access control, visitor registration, site security procedures, patrols, incident response, and accurate activity documentation at a healthcare facility. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors while following access-control procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
• Monitor access points, control entry and exit, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access-related activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility access points, surrounding areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and communicate clearly during shift changes and with Allied Universal leadership.
