About The Position
The Security Dispatcher operates the security communication center, proactively monitors CCTV systems, answers emergency calls, and screens after-hours visitors using the Star system to verify patient information. The role communicates with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members while supporting security operations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Two years of experience as a 911 operator or Security/Police Dispatcher, or related law enforcement or security experience.
- Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch resources and maintain an activity log.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
- Respond quickly to telephone and intercom calls.
- Enforce the after-hours visitation process.
- Prioritize all requests for service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
