About The Position

The Security Dispatch Officer provides security dispatch services at assigned locations, with a focus on observing and reporting. The role may include monitoring activity; conducting foot, vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle patrols in applicable interior and exterior areas; reporting suspicious activity or persons; maintaining daily activity reports; writing detailed incident reports; enforcing post orders and site rules; and responding to emergencies requiring security assistance. The officer follows the Post Order Manual and company procedures, identifies and reports security threats and hazards, and performs site-specific duties that may include customer service, loss prevention, lobby or visitor reception, elevator security, or loading dock security. The officer contacts appropriate site or field personnel as needed, completes required training, maintains attendance and grooming standards, and responds to incidents in accordance with post orders and the company’s Use of Force Policy. This is a full-time third-shift position in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, paying $18.95 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; a high school diploma is required.
Florida D License.
Possess and maintain any state-required registration, permit, or license, and carry required documents while on duty.
Successfully complete a background investigation and any required post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional client screening may apply.
Provide effective, concise, and legible reports.
Demonstrate customer-service orientation, professional courtesy, and the ability to de-escalate situations.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize competing assignments, and manage deadlines.
Professional demeanor, sound independent judgment, and discretion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable transportation or access to public transportation to arrive at work on time.
A current state driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle may be required for assignments involving those vehicles.
Maintain current active status of required registrations, licenses, and permits as a condition of continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Current or prior military experience, or college education in the security field.
One to three years of professional-level work experience preferred.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service.
Experience in scheduling, operations, or other security-industry functions.

Responsibilities

Execute security services according to the Post Order Manual, policy and procedural guidelines, and directions from management.
Conduct walking patrols and, when assigned, vehicular, golf cart, or bicycle patrols.
Identify and report security threats, unsafe conditions, hazards, and emergency situations.
Perform site-specific security, customer service, loss prevention, reception, elevator, loading dock, or other assigned duties.
Write detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports, including unusual activities and how issues were resolved.
Maintain daily activity reports and report activity as required.
Contact site supervision, field management, or other appropriate individuals as directed or needed.
Know and implement site-specific policies, procedures, and emergency response activities.
Follow company procedures and meet attendance, grooming, and customer service standards.
Participate in required company and site orientation and training programs.
Respond to shift incidents in accordance with post orders and the Use of Force Policy, complete reports, take appropriate action, and notify relevant parties promptly.
Conduct security, customer service, or support functions as directed by a supervisor or requested by the client.
