About The Position

Harvard Protection Services is hiring a Security Officer to provide professional, customer-focused security and life safety services for people and property. The role includes concierge services and maintaining a visible presence at the assigned facility or building. Duties may vary depending on the customer location assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Reliable means of communication and transportation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Neat and professional appearance.
Ability to write routine correspondence, including log entries and incident reports.

Nice To Haves

Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide concierge services and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility or building and monitor the environment for suspicious or unsafe activity.
Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests at the location.
Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
Answer phones professionally.
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
Learn and enforce facility or building policies and procedures within the limits of the position.
Conduct required patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure property removal is authorized according to customer requirements.
Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.
Monitor alarms and systems.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed.
