About The Position

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring Security Agents at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports aviation security through equipment inspections, cargo screening, aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, gate guarding, and observation of facility activity and surroundings. Security Agents may have opportunities for advancement within aviation security. The position requires working in cold temperatures and nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Agents report to an Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on unit size, and activities are overseen by a Lead or Senior Lead. The listed starting pay is $17.00 per hour in the introduction; the posting also gives a salary range of $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete an FBI fingerprint check for a SIDA badge and a 10-year background check (10 years listed; 5 years verified).
Must not have been convicted of any listed FAA disqualifying crimes.
Ability to bend, push, and regularly lift up to 30 pounds to perform essential job functions.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
Written and oral communication skills in English.
Willingness to work in cold temperatures.
Ability to work nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Candidates are required to complete pre-employment drug screening, a criminal check, and/or airport fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
Screen cargo using equipment and methods designated by the customer and according to customer specifications.
Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding according to customer specifications.
Observe and monitor unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection or validation duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
