About The Position

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring part-time Security Agents at Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia. The position supports aviation security through inspections, cargo screening, aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, gate guarding, and observation of unit activity and facility surroundings. Agents may have opportunities for advancement within aviation security. The stated pay is $19.00 per hour. The role reports to an Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on unit size, and activities are overseen by a Lead or Senior Lead. Work may involve nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires working in cold temperatures. Candidates must complete required background and security checks, including an FBI fingerprint check for a SIDA badge and a 10-year background check. Pre-employment screening may include a drug screen, criminal check, and/or airport fingerprinting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete an FBI fingerprint check for a SIDA badge and a confirmed 10-year background check (10 years listed; 5 years verified).
Must not have been convicted of any listed FAA disqualifying crimes.
Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly to perform essential job functions.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
Must be willing to work in cold temperatures.
Written and oral communication skills in English.
Candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening, which may include a drug screen, criminal check, and/or airport fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
Screen cargo using equipment and methods designated by the customer and according to customer specifications.
Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding according to customer specifications.
Observe and monitor unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection or validation duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
