About The Position

The Security Agent is an entry-level role responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for people and property at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, including hotels, offices, restaurants, resort properties, and retail locations. The role may involve foot patrols, responding to emergencies, preparing detailed reports, and interacting with local law enforcement. The ideal candidate demonstrates diligence and integrity while contributing to a positive guest experience. This is a winter seasonal position for 2026/2027, with full-time hours available. The starting wage is $20.00–$23.00 per hour. Housing is not available. Applicants must complete additional background check clearances required by the State of Pennsylvania before beginning work.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fluent English.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outside in varying and extreme weather conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Completion of required State of Pennsylvania background check clearances before beginning work.

Nice To Haves

Prior Security or Loss Prevention experience.
Previous hotel experience.

Responsibilities

Identify and report safety issues, or correct them when appropriate.
Assist and interact with guests and staff professionally and courteously.
Maintain a high-visibility presence to deter criminal activity and violations of the resort conduct code.
Submit thorough and clear reports.
Cooperate with law enforcement in investigations.
Use radio and telephone communications to request assistance from Police, Fire, or Emergency Services as needed.
Perform additional tasks as requested by the Night Manager, Security Supervisor, or other Management Team members.
