Security Agent
About The Position
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., maker of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is hiring a full-time Security Agent. The role protects company personnel and assets, as well as the family and assets of the CEO and Founder, James W. Rane. The Security Agent works according to assigned shifts and must be available 24/7 as needed, maintaining the assigned post. The position includes monitoring security systems and equipment, responding to alarms and suspicious activity, maintaining vehicles and the Central Operations Center, completing required emergency medicine training, and fulfilling training requirements set by Skye-Global or GSWP. Requirements
- Successful completion of a prescribed emergency medicine course.
- Availability 24/7 according to assigned shift or as needed.
- Ability to provide advanced lifesaving techniques in an emergency.
- Ability to monitor and respond to alarms, cameras, drones, mail-scanning equipment, and other technical equipment.
- Ability to maintain vehicles and the Central Operations Center in the specified condition.
- Successful completion of training requirements directed by Skye-Global or GSWP.
Responsibilities
- Perform role-related security functions for GSWP personnel and assets, and for the CEO and Founder's family and assets.
- Develop professional relationships with GSWP leadership, staff, customers, local law enforcement, and the Abbeville community.
- Maintain 24/7 availability according to shift assignment or as needed, and never abandon post.
- Complete a prescribed emergency medicine course and be prepared to provide advanced lifesaving techniques in an emergency.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and safe to operate, and keep the Central Operations Center neat and professional in appearance.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, drones, mail-scanning equipment, and other technical equipment professionally and attentively.
- Ensure a prompt and professional response to alarms, suspicious camera activity, and verbal requests.
- Test all equipment each shift and ensure it is in good working order.
- Successfully complete training requirements as directed by Skye-Global or GSWP.
