About the position
The job overview for the Concierge/Security role at Agilisys is to provide excellent customer service at the Town Hall gateway in Weston super Mare. The main purpose of the role is to welcome customers and visitors, assist them in accessing the services they need, and provide security support to staff and users of the building. The role also involves site and CCTV monitoring, as well as unlocking/locking sites. The individual will be part of a team delivering front-line services across a range of council services, and should be able to handle pressure and provide a good service during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in the Town Hall gateway
- Welcome customers and visitors to the building
- Assist customers and visitors in accessing the services they need
- Provide security support for staff and users of the building
- Use de-escalation techniques to handle security situations
- Monitor site and CCTV for security purposes
- Unlock and lock sites as required
- Work as part of a team to deliver front-line services to customers
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all services provided by the customer service team
- Handle pressure and provide good service during busy periods
- Act as a visible security presence to deter anti-social behavior
- Recognize potential hazards and security risks
