About The Position
The Seasonal Wine Shop Merchandiser helps keep the store stocked, organized, clean, and welcoming. The role includes checking in deliveries, signing off on purchase orders for accuracy, stocking shelves, building displays, placing products, and assisting with inventory and store moves. The merchandiser may operate equipment such as hand trucks, u-boats, conveyors, and forklifts where necessary, and may ring on the register or cover other store areas. The position also involves helping customers locate products and providing basic wine-pairing assistance, while learning the store’s exclusive and focus items. Team members are expected to support other store operations tasks, follow safety procedures, collaborate with colleagues, and create a positive customer experience consistent with the store’s S.T.E.W. values.

Responsibilities
- Check in products properly and sign off on purchase orders as deliveries arrive, ensuring accuracy.
- Stock shelves and place products in the store.
- Build exciting displays.
- Safely operate equipment such as hand trucks, u-boats, conveyors, and forklifts where necessary.
- Assist with inventory and store moves.
- Help keep the store clean, including tasks such as cleaning the break area and restrooms, collecting carts, and stocking bags and materials at the register.
- Know the store’s exclusive and focus items.
- Ring on the register and cover other areas of the store as needed.
- Help customers locate products and provide basic wine-pairing assistance.
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
- Collaborate with team members and offer assistance and support where needed.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values and create a memorable shopping experience.
