About The Position

Evans Distribution Systems is seeking Seasonal Warehouse Associates to join its Packaging Division in Melvindale, Michigan. Associates help ensure products are assembled, packaged, labeled, and prepared accurately for shipment to customers and retailers. This role offers hands-on experience in warehouse operations, packaging, and supply chain management. The position is seasonal, pays $15.00 per hour, and is scheduled Monday through Friday with a 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. start time. Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays as needed is required. The anticipated start date is January 2027.

Responsibilities

Follow daily work assignments from the supervisor and complete tasks according to work instructions and quality requirements.
Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Complete production paperwork and submit completed worksheets to the shift leader.
Identify and tag materials, including work-in-process and nonconforming products, according to established procedures.
Ensure products are labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to customer specifications and work instructions.
Follow quality, productivity, and safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company and site-specific safety policies.
Promptly report workplace incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices to supervision.
Use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), and immediately report missing, damaged, or malfunctioning safety equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow housekeeping and applicable workplace health and safety policies.
