About The Position

As Seasonal Support at Guitar Center, you will serve as the face of the store by greeting customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, and helping close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and help people experience the joy of creating music, while contributing to an inclusive, customer-first environment.

Successful candidates demonstrate customer focus, initiative, interpersonal communication, and a willingness to learn. You will work through Guitar Center’s certification program to build a foundational understanding of products and sales techniques. The position also involves supporting store readiness, maintaining displays, and building customer relationships to support future service needs.

Requirements

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to identify opportunities and issues, follow through, learn quickly, and take positive action without being asked.
• Ability to work through the Guitar Center certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Reach sales targets on services.
• Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
• Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
• Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
• Assist with tasks to ensure the store is ready to conduct business and serve customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
• Build relationships with customers to fulfill future service needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
