About The Position

Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support team member serves as a customer-facing representative in the store. The role involves greeting customers, understanding their needs, recommending appropriate products, and helping close sales. The Seasonal Support team member also helps customers with service needs and contributes to keeping the store ready to serve customers. Guitar Center’s mission is to nurture lifelong musicians and help people experience the joy of creating music in an inclusive, customer-first environment.

Requirements

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
High attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, positively, and courteously with diverse individuals through written and verbal communication.
Ability to work through Guitar Center’s certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

Nice To Haves

Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.

Responsibilities

Reach sales targets on services.
Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
Assist with tasks needed to prepare the store for business and serve customers.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
Build customer relationships to fulfill future service needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
