About The Position

Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support serves as the face of the store, greeting customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, and working to close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and create inclusive, customer-first environments. Successful candidates provide a strong customer experience, communicate respectfully with diverse people, take initiative, and develop product, store operations, sales, and leadership knowledge through training and ongoing learning.

Requirements

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work through Guitar Center’s certification program to develop a basic understanding of products and sales techniques.

• Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.

Responsibilities

• Reach sales targets on services.
• Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
• Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
• Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
• Help execute tasks needed to prepare the store for business and customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
• Build customer relationships to fulfill future service needs.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
