About The Position
Guitar Center is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create a welcoming, engaging shopping experience for customers and help them find instruments and gear suited to their musical goals. The role combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, relationship building, merchandising, and store upkeep. The associate is expected to contribute to sales targets, recommend complementary products, stay informed about products and trends, and collaborate with the team. The listed pay range is $17.13–$25.70 per hour plus commission, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, understand their musical interests and needs, and recommend suitable instruments and gear.
- Work toward sales targets and use upselling and cross-selling to identify relevant products for customers.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay current on product features and trends.
- Build customer relationships, follow up to ensure satisfaction, and develop connections within the local music community.
- Organize merchandise displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
- Collaborate with team members and learn from feedback and challenges.
