About The Position
Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support serves as the face of the store, welcoming customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, and helping close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to encourage creativity and help people experience the joy of making music. Successful candidates provide a strong customer experience, take initiative, communicate respectfully and clearly, and learn products and sales techniques through the company’s certification program. The position also supports store readiness and customer service by completing assigned tasks, replenishing displays, monitoring inventory, and building customer relationships to support future service needs. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work through the Guitar Center certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

- Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.
Responsibilities
- Reach sales targets on services.
- Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
- Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
- Participate in onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
- Assist with tasks that ensure the store is ready for business and customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
- Build customer relationships to fulfill future service needs.
- Handle customer service issues as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
