About The Position

All Store Team Members help build the company brand by delivering excellent customer service. This role maximizes product inventory and supports online business operations to provide a positive shopping experience. Although merchandising is the primary focus, the associate may also be assigned sales, front-end, or other responsibilities as needed. Internally, the role is referred to as Merchandiser and reports to the store management team. This is a seasonal position expected to last no longer than six months; the employee may apply for a non-seasonal role. The position includes handling freight and inventory, stocking and displaying merchandise, supporting digital orders and pickup or delivery services, and serving customers. Associates participate in beverage training, maintain knowledge of promotions and loyalty programs, uphold store safety and cleanliness, and comply with laws governing alcohol sales. Delivery duties apply if delivery is added as an essential job function. The role requires being at least 21 years old and may involve standing and walking for 8–10 hours per day, repeated bending, climbing ladders, and safely lifting, loading, and handling cases and pallets, including lifting 50 pounds overhead. Associates may work in varying outdoor weather conditions. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on feet for 8–10 hours per day.
Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets; climb ladders; and repeatedly lift 50 pounds overhead.
May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One or more years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

Process freight; organize and distribute inventory; pull and stock merchandise; build displays and end caps; and place signage.
Support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pickup and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.
Greet customers, build relationships, provide personalized service, and inform customers about products and services.
Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable alcohol-sale laws and regulations and help maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
If delivery is an essential job function, load and deliver orders safely and professionally in accordance with company policies, procedures, and traffic and safety laws.
