About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security staff to support festivals, concerts, sporting events, and other events in New Orleans. The position helps keep guests, staff, and venue assets safe while providing helpful, courteous customer service. Duties include preparing for and working event days, managing venue access, screening guests, monitoring checkpoints, responding to crowd-control concerns, and helping guests navigate the venue. The role offers flexible scheduling, with shifts under 30 hours per week, and a starting rate of $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing requirements vary by state and local law and may be required before employment.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
Screen guests at entry using bag searches, hand wands or metal detectors, and ID verification.
Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches and protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive guest experience at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, and other assigned locations.
Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
