Manager, Stadium Security
About The Position
The Manager, Stadium Security supports the development, planning, and execution of security operations for South Florida Motorsports, including the Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix, Precision Drive Club, and other Miami International Autodrome events, while also supporting security initiatives across the Hard Rock Stadium campus. The role requires event operations expertise, vendor oversight, and implementation of site management protocols. The Manager partners with internal stakeholders, public safety agencies, and security service providers to protect guests, participants, employees, and critical assets. The position calls for big-picture thinking, close attention to detail, comfort working with leadership, and adaptability in a changing environment. This is a full-time, onsite position based at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Manager reports to the Director, Stadium Security and works nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Employment offers are contingent on successful drug and background screening.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of venue security or event operations experience is preferred.
- Ability to anticipate needs and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience operating CCTV and using an incident management system.
- Willingness to work nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business administration, or related studies preferred.
- Venue security or event operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advance site assessments and collaborate with local law enforcement on high-profile transportation and other accommodations.
- Conduct risk analyses for all campus zones and develop race-week security plans tailored to each zone’s audience.
- Coordinate campus perimeter security, enforce prohibited-items policies, manage guest-flow systems, and oversee vehicle screening operations in accordance with venue safety standards and operational best practices.
- Oversee campus security vendor relationships, including recruitment timelines, training schedules and materials, and onsite operations.
- Manage large-scale events, contract security providers, and cross-functional operational teams.
- Support security oversight in event command, including CCTV, incident tracking, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for event stakeholders such as FIA officials, MDSO, and MDFR.
