Seasonal Snow Drivers, Equipment Operators & Subcontractors
About The Position
GroundSystems is seeking reliable drivers, equipment operators, and subcontractors for its Seasonal Snow Operations Team in Northern Kentucky. Opportunities include direct-hire seasonal positions using company-owned equipment and subcontractor positions using the subcontractor’s own equipment. These are part-time, temporary opportunities contingent on snowfall. Direct-hire seasonal positions include Snow Driver/Operator, operating combo trucks, sidewalk trucks, and other snow removal equipment. Subcontractor opportunities include Plow Truck Operator (up to $110/hr), Plow & Salt Combo (P/S Combo) (up to $130/hr), Skid Loader Operator (up to $130/hr), Loader Operator (up to $275/hr), Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew (up to $45/hr), Snow Equipment Operator (up to $50/hr), and CDL Snow Truck Driver (up to $50/hr). Sidewalk crews must provide their own transportation and crew; CDL snow truck drivers must meet insurance requirements. Workers clear snow and ice from parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas; operate snow removal equipment and apply deicing materials; maintain and clean equipment as needed; and follow company procedures and safety guidelines. Workers must be available 24/7 during snow events, including holidays, and able to arrive within one hour of dispatch. Subcontractors must use Aspire or TimeScape to log hours and document work.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Driver positions require a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Drivers must have at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in winter conditions.
- Must understand and speak basic English.
- Must follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Must be available 24/7 during snow events, including holidays, and able to arrive within 1 hour of dispatch.
- Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew subcontractors must provide transportation and a crew.
- CDL Snow Truck Drivers must meet insurance requirements.
- CDL is not required for standard driver positions.
