About The Position

North Atlantic Snow is hiring seasonal Snow Heavy Equipment Operators to operate loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment on commercial properties during the winter storm season. Positions are assigned based on where operators live and operational needs across Seacoast New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Northeastern Massachusetts. Pay is $24–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Operators work early mornings, late nights, and emergency events during storms, following a storm plan prepared by the management team. They use apps to record completed work and ensure accurate reporting. The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve extended hours during storms.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in snow and ice management; veteran operators with limited snow experience may be trained.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Dependable and safety-conscious, with pride in quality work.
• Comfortable using mobile apps to log completed work.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and for extended hours during storms.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from commercial properties.
• Plow and scrape snow, load trucks with snow, or apply salt as directed.
• Work early mornings, late nights, and emergency storm events, remaining ready to respond to storms.
• Follow the storm plan created by the management team.
• Use apps to record completed work and ensure accurate reporting.
• Operate equipment safely and perform quality work.
