About The Position

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Seasonal Skyrink Associate to join its Rooms Division team and support guest-focused service at its luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The associate supports daily Skyrink operations, including preparing food and drinks, managing skate inventory and upkeep, maintaining the rink and Chalet, processing payments, coordinating operational needs with other departments, and assisting guests with skate sizing. The role also includes balancing the cashier drawer, following hotel cash and credit handling policies, and cleaning and shutting down the Skyrink in a timely manner.

The position runs seasonally from November 20, 2026, until February 16, 2027, and pays $20 per hour. Candidates must have work authorization in the United States. The role requires resolving guest issues, restocking supplies, timely communication through text, email, and Microsoft Teams, and an excellent command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and drinks offered at the Skyrink.
• Take inventory of ice skates and sanitize and sharpen them.
• Keep the Skyrink, Chalet, and surrounding areas clean, and ensure holiday decorations and music are in proper working order.
• Accept and process payments for food, drinks, and skate rentals each day.
• Coordinate with responsible departments to arrange the daily operational needs of the Skyrink.
• Assist guests in finding the correct size of ice skates.
• Balance the cashier drawer daily, obtain management approval, and submit corresponding paperwork according to hotel cash and credit handling policies.
• Clean and shut down Skyrink operations properly and on time.
• Resolve guest issues effectively and efficiently.
• Restock supplies.
• Respond to text messages, emails, and Microsoft Teams messages in a timely manner.
• Use Microsoft Office, Teams, and OneNote to communicate effectively.
