About The Position

The Peninsula Chicago is hiring a Seasonal Skyrink Associate for its Rooms Division. The role supports the operation of the hotel’s Skyrink and Chalet, including preparing food and drinks, maintaining and managing skate inventory, assisting guests with skate sizing, processing payments, coordinating daily operational needs with other departments, and keeping the area clean and operational. The associate is also responsible for following hotel cash-handling procedures and properly closing down Skyrink operations.

This seasonal position runs from November 20, 2026, through February 16, 2027, and pays $20 per hour. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Must have work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and drinks offered at the Skyrink.
• Take inventory of ice skates and sanitize and sharpen them.
• Keep the Skyrink, Chalet, and surrounding areas clean, and ensure holiday decorations and music are in proper working order.
• Accept and process payments for food, drinks, and skate rentals.
• Coordinate with responsible departments to arrange the daily needs of the Skyrink operation.
• Help guests obtain correctly sized ice skates.
• Balance the cashier drawer daily, obtain management approval, and submit the corresponding paperwork in accordance with hotel cash and credit handling policies.
• Clean and shut down Skyrink operations properly and in a timely manner.
• Resolve guest issues effectively and efficiently.
• Use Microsoft Office, Teams, and OneNote to communicate effectively.
• Restock supplies.
• Respond to text messages, emails, and Microsoft Teams messages in a timely manner.
