About The Position

The Seasonal Service Team Member helps customers shop the store, locate products, and find solutions while providing a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role supports store operations by unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining recovery and in-stock standards, and assisting with omnichannel orders. Team members follow company procedures and policies, support safety and shrink programs, and interact respectfully with customers and coworkers. The position also includes cross-training in Custom Framing sales and production and other duties as assigned.

This is a public retail-store role. Public areas are climate controlled, though some stock rooms may not be; outdoor work may be required when retrieving carts or unloading trucks. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Michaels requires team members in this role to be at least 16 years old. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• U.S. applicants must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery, to help maintain a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Follow standard operating procedures, company programs, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive in difficult situations, promote the organization's vision and values, and serve as a positive role model.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
