About The Position

The Maintenance Technician IV performs maintenance and repair of plant equipment, machinery, and tooling. The role includes mold preparation, fabrication of pre-production and production tooling and fixtures, mold tuning and troubleshooting, and overall maintenance of buildings, equipment, grounds, and machinery. The technician works with subcontractors as directed, analyzes maintenance failures to identify trends and prevent recurrence, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and follows EMS/QMS procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience repairing and maintaining equipment, tooling, and machinery.
• Skilled written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use small hand tools.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and twist.
• Ability to regularly lift or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
• Skilled in using a lathe, mill, and surface grinder with assistance from team members or mechanical equipment.
• Strong math and blueprint-reading skills.
• Tool and die experience.
• Five years of maintenance machinist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of plant equipment, machinery, and tooling, including mold preparation and fabrication of pre-production and production tooling and fixtures.
• Tune molds and troubleshoot mold issues.
• Perform overall maintenance of buildings, equipment, grounds, and machinery.
• Work with subcontractors as directed.
• Analyze maintenance failures for trends and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure EMS/QMS procedures are followed while performing job duties.
