About The Position

POP MART is hiring a Seasonal Sales Associate at its Northridge Fashion Center location in Northridge, California. The role supports increased business during the holiday shopping period and is temporary; seasonal employment is expected to conclude at the end of the designated period, though business needs may change the end date. Continued employment may be considered based on performance, business needs, and available positions, but is not guaranteed.

The associate serves as a brand ambassador, creating memorable customer experiences and sharing product knowledge and enthusiasm for POP MART’s characters and collectible art toys. Working with the retail team, the associate supports sales, daily store operations, merchandising, inventory handling, and a clean, engaging shopping environment, particularly during busy periods.

The position pays a fixed rate of $18.42 per hour and is classified as temporary, seasonal, and non-exempt, with overtime eligibility under applicable law. Any applicable benefits and paid leave are provided as required by law or Company policy.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Frequently lift, carry, push, or move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per shift; and frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and safely use ladders or step stools.
• Ability to perform repetitive stocking, unpacking, pricing, and inventory-organizing tasks and work efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to operate standard retail equipment and stockroom tools, including handheld scanners, box cutters, and ladders.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or another customer-facing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for designer toys, collectibles, art, anime, gaming, fashion, or pop culture.
• Familiarity with POP MART characters, products, and the collectible toy community.
• Experience using point-of-sale systems, handling merchandise, or supporting inventory operations.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet shoppers, build genuine connections, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Share product knowledge, character stories, and enthusiasm for POP MART collectibles.
• Make personalized recommendations to help customers discover products.
• Support sales goals by promoting key products, new releases, Blind Boxes, MEGA collectibles, and accessories.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing store that reflects brand standards.
• Assist with merchandising, product replenishment, shipment processing, and stockroom organization.
• Support inventory accuracy and follow merchandise-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
• Help manage customer traffic, lines, and product launches while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Work with store leadership and team members to meet daily operational needs, especially during peak holiday periods.
