About The Position

POP MART is seeking a customer-focused Seasonal Sales Associate to support its retail team during the holiday shopping period. The associate serves as a brand ambassador, helping customers discover POP MART characters and collectible products while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. This temporary seasonal role supports daily store operations and helps maintain an engaging, safe, and welcoming shopping environment. Seasonal employment is expected to conclude at the end of the designated season, though the end date may change based on business needs. Continued employment may be considered but is not guaranteed.

The position is based in San Diego, California, and pays a fixed rate of $17.75 per hour. It is classified as temporary, seasonal, and non-exempt, with overtime eligibility as required by applicable law. The role involves working on the sales floor, in the stockroom, and in receiving areas, and requires extended standing and walking, merchandise handling, and use of standard retail and stockroom equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per shift; and frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and safely use ladders or step stools.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as stocking merchandise, unpacking shipments, pricing products, and organizing inventory.
• Ability to operate standard retail equipment and stockroom tools, including handheld scanners, box cutters, and ladders.

• Familiarity with POP MART characters, products, and the collectible toy community.

Responsibilities

• Greet shoppers, build connections, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Share product knowledge, character stories, and enthusiasm for POP MART collectibles.
• Make personalized product recommendations and engage thoughtfully with customers.
• Support sales goals by promoting key products, new releases, Blind Boxes, MEGA collectibles, and accessories.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store that meets brand standards.
• Assist with merchandising, product replenishment, shipment processing, and stockroom organization.
• Support inventory accuracy and follow merchandise-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
• Help manage customer traffic, lines, and product launches while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with store leadership and team members to meet daily operational needs, especially during peak holiday periods.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as needed.
