About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works on the Operations Team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s San Diego Distribution Center, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role performs various warehouse activities as part of a team and contributes to the program and its participants. The listed pay rate is $17.75 per hour. Work schedules are determined by management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled for any full-time shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area, indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform various repetitive-motion tasks.
Flexibility to work schedules determined by management to ensure adequate coverage; full-time employees may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Sort products efficiently and properly according to The Salvation Army’s policies.
Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
