About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works on the Operations Team at The Salvation Army’s San Diego Distribution Center, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role performs various warehouse activities and contributes to the success of the program and its participants. Work schedules are determined by management, and employees must be flexible to help ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled for any full-time shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
Flexibility to work schedules determined by management to ensure adequate coverage; full-time employees may be scheduled for shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Sort products efficiently and properly according to The Salvation Army’s policies.
Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
Identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
