About The Position
This position is for a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) in the Central Staffing Office, specifically for the NICU unit, working PRN nights with a commitment of 24 hours per week. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care and requires flexibility to float to different units within Region A. The Central Staffing Office is an internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals. The department emphasizes high-performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills and offers a supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma Required or Associate’s degree in Nursing Required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Preferred
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
- 5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty Required
- Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire Required
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program upon hire Required
- NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program upon hire Required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
