About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Seasonal Sales Professionals guide and inspire customers to make style a source of creative energy in their lives. They deliver the Bloomingdale’s customer experience through welcoming, engaging, and inquisitive conversation that creates a human connection with customers shopping in stores. The role includes circulating the sales floor, determining customer needs, sharing the benefits of Loyalty programs, and supporting the shopping experience from start to finish. Sales Professionals also deliver operational excellence by using the store’s fulfillment system and maintaining merchandise-to-sell standards, the sales floor, and fitting rooms.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is encouraged; candidates with this qualification are encouraged to apply.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and to process register transactions.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Create an easy, seamless, and fun in-store experience while building and cultivating customer relationships.
Engage customers in conversation, determine their needs, and support their shopping experience from start to finish.
Actively circulate the sales floor and share the benefits of Loyalty programs.
Use the stores’ fulfillment system and meet merchandise-to-sell standards.
Maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms.
Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role.
Use technology proficiently to perform job functions.
