About The Position
Zingerman’s Bakehouse is hiring seasonal Holiday Cake Crew members to help make and package handcrafted cakes and cookies. Crew members work with an experienced team to create holiday baked goods in a welcoming, active workplace. The role offers hands-on experience with Zingerman’s business practices and may provide an opportunity to apply for year-round work after the seasonal position ends. The position is located at Zingerman’s Bakehouse, 3711 Plaza Drive in Ann Arbor. It pays $16.00 per hour and runs from Tuesday, November 3rd through the last week of December. The schedule is 40 hours per week for every week in November and December, with regular availability between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Be available to work 40 hours per week for every week in November and December.
- Have regular availability between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
- Be able to stand, lift, and bend for up to eight hours, with breaks.
- Be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to perform repetitive motions, including fine manipulation of the hands and fingers.
Responsibilities
- Ice cream cheese cakes.
- Create fondant decorations.
- Fill cupcakes with fillings.
- Cover and decorate holiday cookies.
- Package and label holiday cookies and cake slices.
- Fold cake boxes and sort cakes.
