About The Position

The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role includes preparing and presenting food and beverages, maintaining work areas and equipment, and following company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards. Schedules depend on business needs and colleague availability; weekend shifts are required. Requirements

Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop as needed.
Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Demonstrate working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
Maintain work areas and equipment according to company standards and Health Department standards.
Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Educate customers about products, offer samples, and serve food and beverages.
Carry out station-specific duties and responsibilities.
Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
Prepare and present products according to Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress in accordance with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
Perform other duties as needed.
